Pinpoint is a parent carer forum for Cambridgeshire. Pinpoint offer free online parent carer information sessions featuring NESSie and other professionals. These sessions provide essential information to empower you in assisting your child. Additionally, Pinpoint’s termly Mental Health Participation sessions service as a platform for professionals and parent carers to learn about available resources and actively participate in improving the system. HEAR allows people who are struggling with their mental health, and live, work or study in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to text the word HEAR to 85258 for free. They will then be helped by a trained volunteer to reach a calm state and be signposted to local and national resources via text.
Personalised Eating Disorder Support (PEDs) offer free services within Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This includes training sessions to increase knowledge surrounding eating disorders, and how to understand the signs and symptoms and increase understanding of the process of referrals to local and specialised support services. Kooths available to young people aged 11-18 in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough at www.kooth.com and Qwell is available at www.qwell.io to adults aged 18+ in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. The service provides a free, safe and anonymous place for people to connect with others and know they are not alone. They have instant access to self-help materials, live moderated discussion forums and tools such as online journals and goal trackers. They can also contribute written pieces of work reflecting their own experiences, as well as accessing drop- in or booked text-based counselling with professional counsellors from 12pm-10pm weekdays and 6pm-10pm weekends.
